I love how the bird is not in the middle of the photo but yet it's standing in front of the largest spot of light. That makes the bird being an amazing, strong focal point, and not getting people distracted by any other elements around it. Also the sharpness of the edges of the bird's body and letting the background soft and blurry adds more to being interesting. What adds more magnificence to the photograph is the way that shades are setting on the birds body. From the center leaving the edges light and sharp. This also gives the bird a meaning of being heavy, as shadows cover most of the body and head but in a perfect way that no features are fading within.
Almost everything seems so well done and amazing but, I noticed that there's a stain on the bottom of the photo (on what the bird is standing on). I wish if you could managed to remove that somehow. BUT.. to tell the truth, this is a masterpiece!
I generally don't rate work so highly because the impact and quality rarely leave me astounded. This piece really speaks out to me because the focus is so crisp and the background is so soft. The bird isn't perfectly centered which leaves the eyes scanning the image but always returning to the focus.
Even through the picture it feels like the bird is looking at me and knows I'm observing him. The depth of field is beautiful, the colours soft, and the contrast strong. All in all, a brilliant combination that speaks masterpiece.
